Minimum Age
Festify is intended for users aged 16 and over. By using the app, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will delete their account and associated personal data without delay.

Basic account information
Your name (from your login provider)
Your email address (from your login provider)
Geolocation data
Periodically collected in the background when you grant permission in the app
Used to enable location-based features and services
Not shared with other users unless you explicitly opt in to share with selected friends
Event responses
Your RSVP status to events and festivals ("Going," "Interested," "Not Going"), which may be visible to your friends
Usage and analytics data
App usage events such as which screens you visit, when you open the app, and whether you open push notifications. This data is not linked to your account or identity.
How We Use Your Information
To authenticate your login and create your user account.
To enable personalised features within the Festify app.
To provide location-based features, including map and festival navigation
To allow you to share your location with friends if you choose to opt in
To display your RSVP status ("Going," "Interested," "Not Going") to your friends
To understand how the app is used and improve our services (analytics)
International Data Transfers
We do not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). All data is processed and stored within the EEA.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with the processors listed below, as necessary to operate our services.

Your geolocation is never shared with other users unless you opt in to share it with selected friends
Third-party data processors
PostHog, Inc. – analytics processor. Receives pseudonymous usage events (screen views, app opens, push notification interactions). Data is stored on PostHog's EU infrastructure. PostHog's privacy policy: posthog.com/privacy
Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Account data (name, email): processed on the basis of contract performance (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) – necessary to provide the service.
Location data: processed on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.
Analytics data: processed on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding app usage and improving the service. You may object to this processing by contacting us.
Your Rights
Access: you may see the information we hold about you on your profile page
Erasure: you may delete your profile at any time through your profile page
Data portability: you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format
Restriction: you have the right to request that we restrict processing of your personal data in certain circumstances
Object: you have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests
Withdraw consent: you may revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings
You may opt in or opt out of location sharing with friends at any time through your profile settings
Complaint: you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hungarian data protection authority — NAIH (Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság) at naih.hu
